This place is not a dive as it looks from the outside. It's got cheap booze and dim lighting, but there's linen on the tables and people aren't there to just get hammered. It's nestled closer to Noe valley and has that more 'well-to-do' vibe. It's a good mid-week watering hole, and maybe even a place to meet people.
